INDITEX, Zara's parent company, decided to adopt RFID technology throughout the group in 2014 to improve the group's supply chain, and said that RFID is an important innovation in the new generation of store management.
In the financial report of the first half of 2016, the CEO of INDITEX publicly stated that through the application of RFID technology, the inventory and supply of nearly 70% of the flagship brands were improved. Coupled with the upgrading of design, production and distribution, the sales in the first half of 2016 increased by 11.1% to 10.47 billion euros
The profit increased by 7.5% to 1.26 billion euros.
Facts have proved that Zara has achieved ultra-high efficiency through RFID technology, and it only takes about 10 days for its clothing from design concept to finished products on the shelf.
